Matt is the founder of Meridian Compass and loves everything about his job! Whether it’s helping Mum and Dad landowners survey their perfect house site, supplying developers with accurate data, or helping vineyard owners develop their next block, Matt prides himself on excellent service at competitive rates.

With a land surveying background in residential & commerical,civil construction, development engineering and environmental planning, Matt has worked in just about every situation, big and small.

Meridian Compass provides a diverse range of survey and land development services associated with land development, subdivsions, and earthworks design.
We have built good relationships with a network of common professionals in the Land Development industry that involve Qualified Resource Planners, Registered Engineers, Architects, Contractors, and Solicitors for Legal conveyancing.

Provide customers with hard copy and (3D) digital information/ outputs using sophisticated survey and CAD drafting packages.

Provide survey accurate setout for building, road & service infrastructure, and earthworks related projects.

Have the tools and skills for design, calculations, earthworks and full working engineering plans for Registered Engineers approval and for civil construction.
PLANNING, MANAGEMENT & CONCEPT DESIGN

Our focus is to provide our clients with all the details, processes, costs and time frames associated with a land development project.

At the beginning of every project we advise our clients of the planning requirements for the zone, arrange meetings with consultants from relevant disciplines and project manage the process through to desired outcome for the client.

We are competent in the following planning and management tasks:

Liaise and consult with Council departments, solicitors, planners, engineers, contractors and consultants.

Familiar with relevant district plan rules, and have access to titles, plans, maps and property reports.

Preparation of Subdivision and Landuse application and proposed scheme plan for consent approval.

Manage consents applications through to completion, includes seeking Local Authority certification for site specific conditions of consent.
